Cricket News sort by India Vs England 3rd ODI at Ranchi - Jan 19, 2013

If India’s performance in the second ODI at Kochi was top notch, they were ruthless again against the Englishman on Saturday, at M S Dhoni’s hometown Ranchi. If it were the batsmen who set up India’s win in the Kochi game, this time it was the turn of the bowlers to shine upfront.

India crushed England by 7 wickets in the third ODI at Ranchi to take a series lead of 2-1. It was the bowlers who set up an easy win for India with England getting bundled out for just 155 on a decent batting strip. Virat Kohli regained his form with a stroke-filled 77* to wrap up the run chase in just 28.1 overs.

Skipper MS Dhoni, one of the few Indian batsmen in some kind of form gave the team a huge scare ahead of tomorrow’s 3rd ODI at Ranchi when he was hit on the right thumb by a nasty lifter.

When a team struggles like India has been doing over the last two seasons, it is very easy to get excited by a comprehensive win like the one India registered against England at Kochi in the second ODI.

International Cricket Council gave the green light to a newly constructed stadium where the ODI between India and England will be held on January 19, 2013.

Ranchi’s new stadium set to host maiden One-Day International between India and England scheduled to be held here on January 19, 2013.
